2018 Project

This project was created as part of a competition between Angel and I. It shows the things I learned during the fall semester of 2018. I have always believed in the saying "You learn something new everyday", and if I were to put everything I learned on this website, it would be absolutely impossible to finish. This competition has taught me many helpful everyday and life lessons outside the classroom. This is something to challenge us both, and through this I plan to show my place as first. Through this semester, I received an internship at Lee  Media Group, which specialize in marketing and website designing. For this reason, I decided to create a website showing the 2018 semester.

The Purpose

In keeping with our tradition of academic  competition, this project has raised the bar. On top of maintaining  high grades and aiming for the top, we will both create a project or presentation showing what we learned and will present it to each other. This project may be the deciding factor of who wins the competition, so no pressure!

Accounting II

Definitely not my area of expertise, but several things were learned in this course. Ranging from Common/Preferred stocks to bonds. Other things include how to add a new investor to the books, analyzing financial statements, and Cash Flow Statements.

Principles of Management

Just an introductory class teaching common sense knowledge  such as to good leadership and proper organization.

Macroeconomics

In contrast to Microeconomics, this class looksat the overall bigger picture instead of individual businesses.

General Education

These are required classes that include English Composition 1, Public Speaking, and Psychology.

Projects

Although there were many interesting projects completed my first year in the Academy, this website is to show the progress and knowledge obtained in this second fall semester of 2018. These can be seen here.

Accounting II

There were a few projects in this course in order to challenge and test my understanding....hopefully preparing me for Managerial Accounting next semester.

Principles of Management

The main project in this course involved managing a benefit concert in a foreign country.

Macroeconomics

The main project in this class involved comparing the economy of two countries.

Misc.

Some highlights I accomplished or learned in the generic classes including English, Speech, and Psychology.

Just a note
Never have I met someone who cared about their education as much as I have. Meeting Angel was both a relief and a challenge. This competition keeps me on my toes and gives me yet another challenge. Not only does it challenge me to be on top of my academics, but it also challenges me to strive for the best in life. I have changed a lot in the way I look at things, how I do things, and in several aspects of my life thanks to Angel. Everyone meets someone for a purpose and every person will impact others in their own personal ways. I only hope that I have impacted or influenced him in some way as well. I don't know about Angel, but this was exactly what I needed.
